SAT Packages
At CTS we know from experience that each student has individual needs and constraints. Our 4 course offerings support every student’s success. Together with you we will choose the best option to meet your educational needs.
CTS SAT TEST Track
Includes 32 hours of testing and review over a 4 week period. Additional weeks may be purchased.
When time and resources are scarce, CTS’s highly effective and adaptive SAT curriculum is designed to accommodate students’ busy schedules during the school year. Each week, students take a full-length, 3.5-hour practice test, plus attend 4.5 hours of test review and lectures in Math, Writing, and Critical Reading.
ACT Club Session
These days most colleges accept either the SAT or the ACT test for admission applications. For those students intending to take the ACT the preparation is, for the most part, identical to that of the SAT. However, the ACT test does include a few questions on subjects not included on the SAT. For that reason CTS offers an 8-hour one day additional session for specifically ACT preparation.
CTS 2100 Club
Admission to the best American universities is based on many things, to be sure. However, an SAT score of at least 2100 total (ACT 31) is essential. The CTS 2100 Club student deserves particular attention and challenge to excel. This select group focuses on the most advanced topics. Responsive review and practice for the basic topics are a part of the adaptive curriculum, but only a part. In 15 responsive sessions every student will receive instruction and practice leading to acquiring the skills for near-perfect performance on the SAT. Ten hours of tutoring is included in this package to address highest level skills and assure the success of the student. Club sessions include 40 hours of instruction and 5 complete practice tests.
CTS POWER 100 Track
Includes 36 hours of instruction and 64 hours of testing and review for a total of 100 total hours of instruction.
Our premier CTS Power 100 Track is the primary choice of many of our proactive students. This is our full 48 session course that prepares the student for solid success on the SAT. The topics cover all those the student must master for a top score on the SAT. The CTS adaptive method assures that the individual student receives the support and repetition he or she needs even as the class pushes forward session by session.
Each of 24 responsive sessions focuses on one of the SAT test areas: Math, Critical Reading or Writing. These sessions begin with a short presentation of essential skills. Then the students work with the teacher on SAT-level questions in an individualized practice.
Along the way 12 complete SAT tests are administered in test-like timed sessions. This feature of the CTS Power 100 Track serves two purposes. First, it eases test anxiety by simple familiarity with the process. Second, full testing provides a regular gauge of student progress as the course continues. Any skills still not mastered can be reviewed and practiced to gain that mastery.
There are also 8 review sessions for those tests. Scores and detailed results are an important part of assessing progress and planning review on an individual basis. The teacher and the entire class discuss the approach and step-by-step solution to every question on the practice test.
